The New Haven PTA fundraising programs provide funds for school events, activities, and enhancements, as well as financial aid solely for the benefit of New Haven Elementary and its students. The PTA relies on parent volunteers to accomplish these efforts. For more information on any of our fundraising efforts, please contact the chairperson listed on the Board of Directors page of this website.
Giving Tree
This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to shop for holiday gifts for their family and friends all by themselves. The Giving Tree Holiday Shop features over 100 different quality gift items priced within a child's budget, from 20¢ to $12.00, with most gifts under $3.00. You'll find something here for everyone on a child's list: Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and special friends. Volunteers are needed to assist students in appropriate gift selection and money management.
Kroger Cards
If you shop at Kroger, this is a great way to help our school without any extra cost and minimal effort. For each Kroger card, send a dollar to school in an envelope maked "Kroger Cards" and we will send home a Kroger gift card preloaded with $1.00. You can then load the card with any amount at the customer service desk at your favorite Kroger store and Kroger witll give 4% back to New Haven. The gift card can be reused as often as you like and is good at any Kroger store.
Market Day
New Haven offers Market Day's monthy grocery program. Watch for the Market Day flyer to come home with your child each month. Order forms can be filled out and sent back to school with your child, or you may place your order on-line at marketday.com (when ordering on-line, be sure to select organization 15611 - New Haven PTA). Be sure to watch for special promotions like Pie Month and Cookie Month throughout the year.
Popcorn Friday
Popcorn Fridays are a great and super easy way to get involved with the school. We usually pop every other Friday, just watch for the notices to go home. Poping begins at 10:00 a.m. and we keep popping until we have filled all the orders. Helping out is very easy... some people fill the bags with popcorn, others divide them into the classes, and, when we are done, we deliver them to the class rooms. (It's a good opportunity to see if your child is behaving in class!) We always have a good time and are looking for good helpers.
Santa’s Breakfast
A fun-filled holiday activity for the whole family. Breakfast is served and the kids have the opportunity to make a craft, have their picture taken with Santa, and shop one last time at the Giving Tree Holiday Shop.
Winter Carnival
The New Haven Winter Carnival is a night of food, games, and fun for the whole family. For one low admission price for each child, enjoy an evening of games, bouncing, sliding, face painting, and crazy hair. In the cafeteria, you can join us for a hot meal or stop by the concession stand to satisfy your sweet tooth. A silent auction is held in the library; there you can bid on baskets put together by each class, items and services donated by community businesses, and fun outings with various members of the New Haven faculty and staff. |
